A very powerful project!
In a nutshell, a
disgruntled member of Matt Hale's white supremacist group offered its
entire inventory of hateful books to The Montana Human Rights Network a
couple of years ago. The project that has risen from the book acquisition
is on this Holter
Museum Web page.
We have asked artists to use or react to these vile books, making art with
them. The resulting show is called "Speaking Volumes, Transforming
Hate". We put out a National call for entries as well as having invited
several prominent artists to participate. The show is now up and I am so
proud to have been involved in this moving tribute to the power of art to
speak to the worst and best of the human experience. Take a look at
